Major Conservation Threats

The Tahoma water pipe replacement project includes plans for a heavy equipment staging site which directly endangers local wild lands and fragile ecosystems by destroying untouched habitats and disrupting wildlife.

Habitat Loss: Critical nesting grounds for protected species, such as the Northern Goshawk, are compromised by heavy construction activity, disrupting local biodiversity and ecosystem health.

Climate Fragility: Increased fuel storage and heavy machinery operation heightening wildfire risks, while industrial traffic degrades native flora and reduces the landscape's natural resilience.
